I currently live on Long Island, NY with my wife Michelle. She is the world’s best chef. Yes, seriously. We have cats and, yes, I am sometimes (*only* sometimes) of one of those nutty people who talk about their cats as if they were children. I tried communicating exclusively via lolcats, didn’t take.
One question I get often: Who is Warwick and who is Rick? Answer: Same person. Rick is a shortening of Warwick, especially helpful for when people don’t know how to pronounce Warwick. (Hint: Second ‘w’ is silent, as in worrick).
I was born and raised in South Africa. I went to Pretoria Boys High and then Rhodes University. I have lived in Cape Town (South Africa), London (UK) and then in and around Philadelphia, PA for a bit.
Random things that I like: Open Source software, Photography, toys made by Apple, coffee tea, airplanes and flying, traveling, golf, startups, African politics, a really whacky variety of music. I like stuff and this is where I write about it. I once won a motorbike in a raffle. This is all gripping stuff, I know. I love the band Tool and books by people like Dave Eggers, David Sedaris and J. M. Coetzee.
