MyDayInPix: MacbookPro + iSight = timelapse movie of my whole day
I don’t know why, but I thought it would be fun to write something that would take a snapshot with my MacbookPro’s built in iSight, then compile all the pics from the day into a timelapse movie. I was preparing to write this all myself, but then I found that someone had already written each piece of this. I have cobbled them together into a hack called MyDayInPix.
I found that isightcapture by Axel Bauer is the perfect CLI interface to iSight cameras, and that QTSuperImageSequencer by James Howard is the ideal Java utility to create a QT .mov from a sequence of images. So I wrapped them with a shell script, and packaged them in a dmg. Both of these guys were cool enough to let me redistribute their code, so, without further ado:
Download MyDayInPix.
Please Note: This is beta. It may blow up your house or turn your dog against you.
Requirements: OS X, Mac, iSight (Only tested on my MacbookPro, but reportedly works on an iMac Intel)
